Music Ministries
The whole Assembly worshiped,
the singers sang,
and the trumpeters sounded ...
[The Levites] sang praises with gladness
and they bowed down and worshiped.
(2 Chronicles 29:28, 30)
From Paula Hays, our Director of Music: "Sharing our faith through the gift of music and sharing Christian friendship while doing it makes the choir special to all of us. Our choir now has 23 members. We are very excited about the new possibilities for musical performance in our new church. The music ministry will grow and change along with the church, as we share God’s gifts with the congregation every Sunday morning." We welcome all singers, (especially sopranos and tenors!). Come sing with us!
Choir practice is each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., September - May

Patricia K. Schiemann
Raised in a Lutheran parsonage, and exposed to church music, I studied organ and piano with my mother. I substituted as a church organist at age 14, and have played regularly ever since. I studied piano and organ privately at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and have continued in Master classes and Church Music seminars, including choir directing and handbells. I was pianist for a large ballet school in London, England for three years.
With my Grandmother, Mother and Daughter, -- all professional church musicians, -- our aspiring Grandson joins me in five generations of this musical tradition.
I am also a retired Registered Nurse, having graduated for Augustana Jospital School of Nursing in Chicago.
Married to a United Church of Christ Pastor, we have a son living in North Carolina and a daughter living in a Chicago suburb, and six grandchildren.
